Gorilla is a large animal and belongs to primates. Though primates are found in every continent, the live on ground and are most commonly found in the forests of Africa . Gorillas are said to divide only into two species and most of them live in tropical and sub tropical forests. Gorillas can also be found at high altitudes such as Albertine Rift montane forests. They live at high altitudes of up to 14,000 ft. Gorillas are also among the closest relatives of human beings. It is also said that 99% of the DNA of Gorilla is similar to the DNA of human beings. Chimpanzee is also one of the closest relative of Gorilla and human beings.
